Day 1

From the valley to the village

Two nearby stops in Rio Caldo, an unhurried lunch and a village stroll. Pedra Bela closes the day if there is daylight and the road conditions allow.

What if the weather changes?

If the mountains are icy or foggy, skip Pedra Bela. Prioritise São Bento's available venues and a short village walk.

Day 2

Understand before observing

An extended morning in the museums and a stop at the reservoir. This is a deliberately light day: save the rest of the afternoon for rest rather than adding journeys just to fill the plan.

The mountains and their villages

Ermida and Arado share the same morning. After lunch, Fafião and the Fojo offer insight into community life. Outdoor stops can be removed according to ground conditions and mobility.

What if the weather changes?

Skip Arado or the Fojo if steps, wet stone or mobility needs make the visit unsuitable. These access routes need care on the ground and have mobility limitations.
